 [icon] Detecting NuMega's SoftICE version 2 and 3
SoftICE is a trademark of NuMega Technologies, Inc.

Earlier I released source code for detecting SoftICE version 2, called ICECream. This code had some drawbacks, like only working with version 2 and crashing Windows NT and Win32s.
Now, NuMega has released SoftICE version 3, which is detected by another method which is simpler and more compatible.

A letter

I received a letter stating that the MeltICE method is not safe. That is true, I have never said it is, but anyway here is the letter and the attached assembler source code.
